Sr.

Director, Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) The Sr.

Director of Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) is responsible for leading the global AME organization, inclusive of manufacturing site engineering support, cost performance engineering, additive manufacturing management, IIOT, automation, and robotics.

This individual will be responsible for establishing the overall direction and management for manufacturing processes and technology roadmaps, enabling quality, delivery, time-to-market, and cost targets.

This position will report to the Vice President of Integrated Supply Chain – Honeywell Building Technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ Lead the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering organization globally to drive optimal site engineering support, scrap reduction, obsolete material reduction, execution of IIOT and automation projects, and achieve producibility and quality targets.

▪ Bringing in best in class advance manufacturing technologies to enable world class quality and delivery to our customers.

▪ Lead process improvements in core internal/external manufacturing processes and deploy strategies to improve manufacturing.

▪ Develops manufacturing process roadmaps and ensures alignment with business strategy and technology roadmaps.

▪ Executes Process Control Planning & Execution (PCPX) projects to improve internal and delivered quality of our products.

▪ Integrates function through Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) process across all Integrated Product Delivery & Support (IPDS) phases.

▪ Drives product cost target adherence and production readiness through design-to-cost (DTC) and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) activities.

▪ Recruit, train, mentor and develop an engaged, diverse and world-class organization with deep bench strength in pivotal roles.

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 7+ years of leadership experience in supply chain, engineering or manufacturing with increasing responsibility in a complex, multi-site environment is required.
  • Experience in successful implementation/application of robotics and artificial intelligence within electronic product manufacturing

WE VALUE

  • Multi-function ISC experience, including experience with HSE, process safety management, quality, manufacturing, project and process engineering, procurement, delivery, inventory, supply chain planning, logistics, and manufacturing transitions.
  • Experience leading application of AME in NPI processes
  • Significant experience managing manufacturing operations with many products and channels / customers.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing, integrated supply chain principles and knowledge of Honeywell Operating System or other process / operating improvement systems.
  • Ability to effectively select, develop, coach, empower and motivate a staff to ensure growth in their scope of responsibility and accountability for operational excellence.
  • Proven track record of approaching business challenges from a macro perspective and resolving strategic issues effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with an understanding of your audience and to present ideas and gain commitments that are crucial to the success of the business.
  • Knowledge and ability to develop and interpret operating plans, budgets, capital plans and financial statements.
  • Ability to lead change and establish operational metrics/key indicators for process control, communication, and performance improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and changing priorities; make sound decisions under pressure, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • A strong bias for action with a results orientation.
