Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Sales Operations Manager for its Atlanta, Georgia or other remote locations in the United States per the Manager’s discretion.

Preferred locations are Atlanta, Georgia, Raleigh, North Carolina and Houston, Texas.

The Director/Sr.

Manager of Sales Operations is responsible for overall productivity, effectiveness & enablement of the sales organization.

The Director/Sr.

Manager will manage supporting functions essential to support sales force productivity.

The role will report directly to the CFO Enterprise Software Solutions and functionally to the Global Head of Sales.

The Sales Ops Director/Sr.

Manager should have excellent knowledge of software sales and possess strong leadership skills.

Your responsibilities

  • Designs, implements, and manages sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes for order bookings.

    Establish high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency in planning, forecasting, and budgeting approaches used by the sales organization

  • Provides leadership to the sales organization, advises Human Resources, Sales & organization leadership on implementation of objectives, measurements & incentive plans.

    Works closely with Finance and Human Resources to establish rules, policies and procedures associated with sales incentive plans.

  • Tracking, analyzing, and reporting for sales performance vs.

    quotas

  • Provide key metrics including but not limited to win/loss ratios, pipeline development, trends, market and competitive research and analysis to the sales organization and leadership.
  • Support the organization with setting quotas and financial objectives to the organization
  • Partners with sales leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement and facilitate successful implementation of new programs & processes.

    Responsible for enablement and launch of processes within the organization

  • Monitor the competitive understanding and positioning of the company’s products and solutions as well as representing the company at trade association meetings to promote products and services
  • Manage personnel activities of staff (i.e.

    hire, train, reward, motivate, discipline, terminate, performance reviews & pay discussions)

  • Serve as escalation point for issues beyond team’s authority, resolving conflicts
  • Responsible for implementation, administration, and management of CRM system enabling technologies (e.g.

    SFDC, Financial Force, addon’s, etc) to ensure adherence, quality, accuracy, and process consistency.

    Work closely with the organization, corporate, marketing and sales management to optimize the effectiveness of the organization’s technology investments.

  • Responsible for oversight and provide leadership to supporting functions sales operations, pricing, and proposals teams
  • Works closely with Sales Leadership, Finance and Human Resources establishing a sales force training plan focused on developing and reinforcement of critical sales competencies.
  • Work closely with Product Management to establish pricing for new features & options and evolve pricing in response to market conditions
  • Oversee development and implementation of proposals/content tools and processes
  • Prioritize training objectives for selling, sales management and sales support roles

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college plus 12 years related to or combination of Sales, Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, Business Planning, Business Development or Business Support OR Master’s degree plus 10 years related to or combination of Sales, Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, Business Planning, Business Development, Sales Support .
  • Experience using multiple systems (Salesforce.com, BI tools)
  • Experience with development and implementation of sales incentive plans
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Exceptional networking skills
  • Experience within a global, matrix organization is preferred
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Excel and PowerPoint
  • Preferred knowledge of Software industry and revenue recognition
  • Change leadership experience and proven delivery of change implementation
  • Accomplished communicator and advisor with ability to collaborate across global/local functions
  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills
  • Energetic, proactive attitude, able to “make a difference” within the context of a regional/global team
  • Results driven, strong business acumen, strategic thinker & executor
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships at all levels across the business, able to collaborate within the broader business at a senior level
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and lead people to best outcomes indirectly, using influencing skills
  • Professional demeanor with strong ethics and ability to retain confidentiality
  • Preferred: Software Industry, Sales Ops or Commercial Ops role
  • Nice to have: Pricing/tendering, proposals/content development
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
