Principal Product Manager – Integrations

Algolia

The Mission

The Events & Data is a group within Algolia building a platform that will form the bridge between our customers and us.

This platform will ensure the frictionless flow of data by providing tools for our customers to collect, compose and consume data.

At its core, Algolia is a data company, and the Events & Data platform is the engine that moves the company forward.

The Team

Integrations is a new team with the Events & Data group building integrations between Algolia and the systems our customers use to run their businesses.

This new team is uniquely positioned to move our entire business forward.

Building flexible, composable integrations that can be reused will allow Integrations to improve every product in the Algolia portfolio.

And by going deeper into specific integrations, the new team will open up Algolia to new markets and customers.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a principal product manager who can define the vision, build a roadmap and drive execution for Integrations.

As a product manager in this area, you will work closely with customers to understand their needs and identify solutions.

Your work provides the unique opportunity to work across all of Algolia.

You will work closely with product teams across the organization to develop and integrate new capabilities.

You will also collaborate with our Partnerships and Alliances teams to identify opportunities and build relationships in the Algolia ecosystem.

Your role will consist of: 

  • Creating and contributing to the roadmap for your product area.
  • Communicating with both the business and technical rationale behind your product decisions.
  • Defining and reporting product metrics
    – being data-driven is key.
  • Mocking up concepts, writing functional specs, cutting tickets, writing copy, and do whatever it takes to express your ideas to our internal engineers, designers, and other product managers.
  • Engaging with our developer community to understand how we can improve our products to increase functionality and unlock new uses

You might be a fit if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience envisioning and building resilient, high-throughput services and products.
  • An ability to work with engineering, architecture, design, product marketing, GTM sales, and customer support to help launch new products and support existing ones.
  • Contributed to the management of your products from both a technical and business perspective.

  • The ability to ship quality products in a fast-paced environment.

    We expect you to be able to work and communicate across the organization at all levels.

    You must have experience working directly with engineers and engineering management.

  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on product management experience in writing detailed product specifications is a must.
  • Experience writing code
    – for fun, college, or work
    – is a plus.
