IT Technical Manager, Configurators

The role reports to Head Project Manager and is located in Atlanta, Georgia.

As a IT Technical Project Manager, to lead configurator projects across divisions.

In this role, you will own end to end delivery of the configurators you own.

You will be expected to partner with various business stakeholders, including external customers, to define business requirements, establish success criteria, and launch the configurator on empower platform.

Your responsibilities

• Evaluate build vs.

reuse and appropriate tech stack.

• Partner with Product Managers / Digitization team member to establish requirements.

• Manage the prioritization of project demands to ensure alignment with overall business value and technical solution roadmaps.

• Translate business needs to Features / Epics and stories for IT team to work on in sprints.

• Play active role in application design and engage architect group as needed.

• Act as guide to development team on coding best practices & carrying out code reviews.

• Establish clear roadmap and acceptance criteria.

• Deliver projects within defined budgets and committed project timelines.

• Work with L2 teams as needed and provide workarounds / solutions to customer issues.

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related field from an accredited university or college required.

• Overall, 10 years IT work experience with a minimum 1-3 years’ experience as an IT Project Manager required.

• Microsoft .NET, SQL, Jenkins, GIT, Azure required.

• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

• Selenium, Configure One, Config IT & Rule stream preferred.

• Prior experience of working in Configurators space.

• Experience of delivering IT Projects end to end in an Agile development framework.

• Experienced in working with remote dev teams.

• Significant experience establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with IT peers, functional business teams.

• Proven analytical and problem resolution skills with the ability to assess complex issues with limited information.

• Collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex information to IT/Application peers & business teams.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously with an exceptional focus on qual-ity.

• Passion for standardizations and process adherence.

• Proven track record working in coordination with system architecture teams.

• Ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements.

• Self-directed, motivated, able to work independently.

• Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.

• Committed and flexible team player.

• Ability to meet objectives by influencing and engaging across multiple global, remote teams.

• Should be open to embrace proprietary tools and work with them.
