Director of Alumni Member Services

Leadership Atlanta

This is a Full-time position in Atlanta, GA posted June 18, 2021.

Alumni Communications, Event Planning and Volunteer Management * Develop, manage and implement all alumni activities* Serve as the primary staff liaison to the volunteer committees that plan alumni events, including educational forums, socials, the annual holiday party, domestic and local trips* Oversees member services, and maintain relationships with volunteers and alumni.* Create and distribute meeting notices, speaker invitations, event invitations, thank you letters, collateral material and other program-related communications in a timely, complete and professional manner.* Support volunteer planning committees* Schedule and plan meetings* Create and distribute meeting agendas and materials* Maintain and distribute master task lists, program agendas and other project management materials* Plan and execute all program logistics ?

catering, room set-up, AV, parking, security, etc.* Develop and manage detailed run-of-show agendas for each program.

Supervise program from set-up to break-down.* Design, create and disseminate alumni communications, including quarterly evites, e-newsletters, program invitations and the annual Yearbook* Serve as the point-of-contact for all alumni affairs Website and Technology * Manage the development and maintenance of database, server and website* Oversee the management of IT operations to include Leapfrog and other web development companies* Serves as principal administrator of the daily monitoring of the website and handling of necessary updates to include photographs, sponsors and testimonials* Maintains alumni database and is the point of contact for all alumni updates* Manages the implementation and maintenance of office and communications technologies* Handle licenses and memberships associated with the website Marketing * Design, implement, and execute annual marketing plan for the organization* Assume responsibility for external and internal communications* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders to ensure proper messaging of organization?s beliefs and service offerings.* Cultivate and manage an online social media presence.

Miscellaneous * Attend ALL alumni events* Assist with program logistics and execution for the LEAD Atlanta and Leadership Atlanta core program as needed* Represent the organization at various community functions at the discretion of the President and CEO* Liaison for the board of trustees and responsible for sending out meeting notices, maintaining attendance, and taking minutes at all of the board meetings* Other duties as assigned Skills and Specifications * Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of related work experience* Experience in program development and event planning* Effective project management skills* Strong oral and written communication skills* Ability to create, compose and edit written materials (letters, press releases, etc.)* Strong organizational and time management skills* Sound understanding of marketing principles* Effective understanding of latest technologies and strategies.
