Area Manager

This is a Full-time position in Atlanta, GA posted November 13, 2021.

A growing network of accounting firms in Georgia and Florida has an immediate need for an Area Manager for Georgia. Job Requirements:

Position Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the business:  Accounting, Sales and Operations on matters of client service and quality
  • Collaborates with Branch Managers to develop business goals for their location, monitor progress for those goals and develop strategies to attract and retain customers
  • Review trade area and identify new market opportunities
  • Prepares and implements area-wide budget; monitors and approves expenses
  • Reviews and maintains knowledge of market, competition, best practices and trends in industry techniques and strategies
  • Keep in line with company growth strategy
  • Meet or exceed company profit goals
  • Manage accounting and budget information
  • Strong project management skills
  • Conduct research and analysis on a variety of tax issues.
  • Mentor, train, and develop staff members by providing them with leadership and professional guidance
  • Monitors and maintain business relationships with existing clients, and address customer issues and concerns promptly
  • Develops new relationships with potential clients to help grow the firm’s clientele base and develop additional opportunities for the firm.
  • Delegates work to employees
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Handles and communicates with human resources manager on issues of discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
  • Manages client relationships and ensure services are provided on a timely basis
  • Reviews budget reports and works with main office on the preparation of annual budgets
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Business Administration required
  • Certified Public Accountant designation required
  • Ten years or more of related experience in public accounting required
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with UltraTax CS, Accounting CS, and Practice CS software is a plus
