AEI Consultants: Industrial Hygiene Project Manager

This is a Full-time position in Atlanta, GA posted June 15, 2021.

A Project Manager within AEI’s Industrial Hygiene division will have previous technical Industrial Hygiene experience and knowledge in the performance and management of various environmental consulting projects.

The Project Manager will also have prior experience performing forensic examination and assessments of Hazardous or Regulated Materials in buildings including asbestos, lead paint and PCBs.

Responsibilities include:Conducting and/or directing surveys of asbestos, lead paint, mold, and indoor air quality testingCreating reports on findings and recommending solutionsPerforming Industrial hygiene sampling and indoor air quality assessments including mold, bioaerosols, Radon, particulates and othersBuilding and maintaining positive client relationshipsDrafting proposals and cost estimatesMaintaining technical excellence, deep understanding of client’s needs, rigor in consulting quality and communication, and exceptional commitment to client satisfactionAssisting the sales team with proposal development for advanced servicesPartnering with regional sales staff to develop divisional clients through networking and delivering high quality technical services to all new clientsManaging projects from start to finishPreparing proposals and marketing information for clientsReviewing price and rates for proposalsDirecting AC’s or environmental technicians in the performance of workQUALIFICATIONS5+ years of proven experience performing and managing technical industrial hygiene projectsExcellent technical writing and critical thinking skillsStrong communication, organization, and time management abilitiesAbility to manage environmental techniciansExperience with field monitoring equipment for construction, remediation, or industrial hygiene assessmentsExperience with abatement design documents preparation is highly desired.

Experience with construction safety, emergency response and reporting knowledge of hazardous waste storage and disposal requirements is preferredExperience completing field sampling reports, preparing cost estimates and attending meetings with architects, engineers, construction managers, and contractorsDemonstrates superior organizational and time management skillsAble to handle technical questions and guide clients through difficult projectsExcellent professional, problem solving, and management skillsPositive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressureAbility to flex work schedule to support project implementation preferredThe professional in this position should be proficient in proposal and report writing and will have superior writing, time management, and organizational skillsStrong customer service backgroundExperience/effectiveness in dealing with internal and external customersA self-starter who exhibits superior levels of motivationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSProficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Corel DRAW is preferred; Sales experience and client base preferred.EDUCATIONBS/MS Degree or degree candidate in environmental, civil, environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, industrial hygiene safety or environmental scienceLICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSActive state asbestos certification(s) requiredEPA Mold TrainingOSHA 40-hour HAZWOPERCSST, CAC or CLIA licensure preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe work environment is indoors, in a typical office setting.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to manipulate, handle or reach; and talk or hear.

The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, balance, kneel or crouch.

The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
