Outside Technical SalesTerritory: State of GeorgiaJob SummaryTo sell manufacturers products and services currently represented by George Grant Company including Process Equipment and Instrumentation; and to be a consulting business partner to customers to determine current and future needs.

People in this position become technically competent with the application of products, and gain a general understanding of process conditions.

This position helps customers by providing the correct solutions to their problems; being a problem-solver,a trusted advisor, and a technical expert in applying our products; and being a liaison between the customer and the company.Job ResponsibilitiesCall on end user representatives such as engineers or other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial, and other establishments to provide solutions to customers and act as a trusted advisor in applying our products to their application needs.Customers include Chemical, Power, Pulp & Paper, Food, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Engineering FirmsReview specifications, application requirements, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates or projected increases in production from client’s use of proposed equipment or services.Prepare or propose changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations.Provide technical support to customers relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.Prepare sales contracts for products, services & training.Provide technology overviews and seminars to groups.Develop and grow a territory by generating product sales, service & training.Provide sales reports as needed.Prepare yearly goals/numbers for your territory at year end meetingSet up sales calls/seminars for Regional Managers of ManufacturersUse & Learn the Company Contact Management SoftwareProvide feedback to Sales ManagerReview Bookings Reports and provide feedback to Sales ManagerSome Travel RequiredSkills & ExperienceAssociate’s degree in a technical field or business concentration, with a minimum of 2-4 years of Outside Sales experience preferably with Valves, Mixers, Process Equipment, Instrumentation, or Industrial Distribution.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and presentationsMultitasking/ Project ManagementProblem SolvingTechnical aptitude and product knowledgeCross SellingAbility to recognize key decision makers within a customer’s organizationHave a good understanding of general process operations (e.G.
