As SAP Master Data Specialist, you will work as part of a Global Master Data Management team (MDM) responsible for supporting critical data generation and data management processes across different regions.

You will be responsible for operating Master Data lifecycle, including Master Data creation, update and archive/deletion processes by following the standards and quality requirements of the domain.

Reporting to the Master Data Manager you will provide support for Master Data management processes and ensure that Master Data is maintained efficiently and accurately in all systems within scope of responsibility.

Preferred locations are Atlanta, GA or Cary, NC; will consider other ABB Electrification Business Locations on an individual basis Your responsibilities Create and administer basic Material Master Data in Distribution Centers and Manufacturing plants based on input from Marketing and Sales Respond to work-flow requests providing clear procedural instructions, while following business guidelines; deliver on data quality, meeting expected timelines Accountable for understanding the impact of the Master Data maintained and providing guidance to others regarding Master Data Work closely with cross functional teams and suppliers to remove roadblocks in the ordering process Provide support for Manufacturing, Replenishment, Marketing and other functions in MRP data related issues and questions Responsible for documenting, reviewing, and updating all work procedures pertaining to all aspects of system maintenance Assist in the overall solution to quality issues by participating in the elimination of non-conformance and adopting the approach of “doing it right the first time” Your background A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required working with SAP Material Master; An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Technology, Business or related discipline is a plus Must be a very proficient user of Microsoft Office and advanced skill proficiency using Excel is required (SQL is a plus) Global team collaboration skills are absolutely required, as well as strong verbal communication skills in English Must be flexible and have a stress resistant personality who is driven by a need to solve problems, innovate, and implement effective process solutions Ability to comfortably and proactively give advice on how to eliminate threats to quality Must have strong attention to detail and a focus on identifying data quality issues, with strong analytical and problem-solving ability Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States Benefits Retirement plan Life insurance Disability insurance Medical insurance Wellbeing program More about us ABB’s Electrification Global Markets organization is responsible for the go-to-market strategy and generating profitable growth for the Electrification Business Area.
