Encompass Administrator

Purpose of Position: Develops and maintains advanced configuration and customization of the company’s Encompass Loan Origination System. Candidate will be responsible for the development of advanced Encompass functionality and should possess an expert level of expertise in DDM, Business Rules, advanced code using Visual Basic, Input Form Builder and advanced User Access.

Accountabilities and Job Activities:

  • Meets programming standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying work process improvements; implementing new technology.
  • Establishes personal rapport with potential and actual clients.
  • Plans programming projects by confirming program objective, scope and specifications with project manager and clients.
  • Provides software design specifications
  • Provides excellent development time estimates
  • Prepares flowcharts of data movement.
  • Documents procedures and operation methods.
  • Documents program logic.
  • Coordinate Ellie Mae upgrades, advise impact to current systems and processes, test, and oversee deployment Prepares test data and verifies program operation by confirming tests.
  • Analyzes program performance.
  • Trains and prepares instructional material for operations and users.
  • Maintains system guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
  • Is subject to call 24 hours, 7 days a week, to cover software failure on production programs or new applications behind schedule.
  • Prepares personnel activity, project status and program status reports.
  • Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Requirements:


Bachelors Degree (or equivalent work experience)

Ellie Mae certified administrator preferred

3 plus years of Ellie Mae Encompass experience in advanced configuration, maintenance, and administration of business rules, forms, fields, personas, workflows, documents/disclosures, e-folders, reports, and other services within the LOS

3 plus years Mortgage Industry experience required

Experience with Optimal Blue, Mavent, Doc Magic, Customer Connect, and TPO Connect

Work Environment/Physical Demands:  Home office environment.  Must be able to sit at a desk for a long period of time which may cause muscle strain.
