Quality Assurance Technician


This is a Full-time position in Ellijay, GA posted November 8, 2021.

DescriptionPosition at Pilgrim’s Qua lity Assurance C lerk GENERAL SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Clerk position is responsible for the compiling of data and data entry for both internal and customer reports , ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, compiling data from various samples, and performing clerical duties for quality control staff.

This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for collecting, tracking and implementing numerical data. Must be able to communicate properly with all levels of management , customers, auditors, and USDA. Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. Must comply with all Food Safety Quality Assurance policies and USDA regulations.

Modeling and coaching these expectations to facility team members. Review paperwork and reports for completeness and accuracy.

Follow up on identified deficiencies to ensure corrective action completed if required. Monitor programs for nonconformance and report identified issue s to designated management. Monitor supply inventory and place requisitions. Transcribe Weekly/Monthly meeting minutes and distribute. Develop and maintain spreadsheets, forms, reports, etc. Assist with preparation of internal, customer , and third party audits. Provide support as a backup for key positions within the QA department. Other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Must have general computers skill s and able to learn company software to complete their job assignments. Must be detail oriented. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel . Must be dependable and prompt with strong integrity and work ethic. Must be able to work independently and exhibit company values. Must have the ability to understand and follow instructions and to learn the methods / practices used in poultry processing . Must be physically able to navigate to all areas of the processing facility and follow all safety procedures. Must be able to perform strenuous work in a damp environment with a wide range of temperatures.

CANDIDATES ARE EXEPTECT TO: Must be able to work varying days (including weekends) when processing schedules change Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so their work is done efficiently and cooperatively with coworkers and leadership teams. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent EOE/Vet/Disabled
