Head of Software Engineering

ACI Worldwide

This is a Full-time position in Norcross, GA posted November 8, 2021.

As ACI continues on its journey of Transformation we are looking for a progressive Head of Software Engineering, Merchant reporting directly to our CTO.

In this senior leadership role within the Technology & Operations division you will lead and influence the day-to day performance and strategic vision for the merchant software engineering teams.

Working cross functionally you will be a leader and innovator that will help ACI Develop the state-of-the-art journey for our clients.

As a people leader you will oversee a large number of global engineering teams.

You will focus on not only the technology aspect, but also on creating a solid and engaged team while establishing consistent and repeatable processes to support a global project-centric organization.

You are a change agent, coach and mentor and are able to train the organization through our transformational initiatives.

you love challenges and are ready to tackle any obstacles and drive change through very thought-out fact-based decisions. 

Job Responsibilities:

Strategy:

–  Ensure appropriate plans are in place to establish, meet and exceed the strategic objectives outlined in the operating plan.

–  Lead and manage transformation, acquisition integration and other strategic initiatives as required to support ACI’s short
– and long-term goals.

–  Policy development and process adherence and leadership.

People:

–  Responsible for hiring, coaching and mentoring an amazing global team.

–  Develop the team structure, and lead software development and execution through deployment of creative/ innovative technology and solid development of best practices.

–  Develop management and staff to execute at highly engaged/best-in-class levels.

–  Foster a high-performance and people -centric culture built around collaboration, efficiency, innovation, trust, achievement, productivity, retention, and employee growth.

Collaboration:

–  Champion the implementation of operational excellence in organization.

–  Cross-functional coordination and alignment at an operational level including strategic and operating plans.

–  Challenge the cross functional partners on creation of best-in-class Merchant Payments Technology.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the job:

–  Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent. 
– 15 years of relevant experience or equivalent.

–  Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

–  Proven experience in planning, organization, and development.

–  Demonstrated experience in the design, development, and delivery of complex solutions.

–  Clear thinker
– ability to simplify strategy into specific actions, makes decisions and communicate priorities.

–  Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

–  Keen attention to detail.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed for the job:

–  MBA preferred
–  Travel required, both domestic and international
