Payroll Manager

As a Payroll Manager, you will oversee the payroll team spanning across three business units
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.
Oversee daily workflow of the Payroll team serving three business units including the hiring, training and development of individual contributors.
Implement and maintain payroll processing systems to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all transitions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, and other deductions.
Maintain processes to capture personnel status changes that translate to adjusted payroll transactions.
Oversee various business unit specific needs including but not limited to commission calculations and processing.
Manage completion of monthly, quarterly, and yearly payroll and employment reports.
Maintain complete understanding of all applicable federal/state wage and hour laws related to payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes
Collaborate cross functionally broader P&T team on any needed insights or reporting for functional areas regarding pay trends.
Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization on a range of topics from payroll education to issue resolution.
Manage payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer’s social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments
Oversee monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll and tax reports, including W-2 management, and oversees filing and government reporting as required
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Payroll in mid to large sized organizations.
2+ years of experience leading teams.
Demonstrated experience designing and delivering standardized processes and structure to support the payroll function.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
Centralized and Multi-state payroll experience.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with payroll software.
