Regional Business Leader - Women’s Health

Ashfield Engage has a partnership with an emerging Biotechnology company that is committed to developing novel therapies to address unmet medical needs.

We are seeking a performance-driven, entrepreneurial, competitive, analytical Regional Business Leader who is willing to put forth discretionary effort and execute on strategy to ensure their region is achieving sales results and KPIs and is meeting and exceeding expectations. What will you be doing?

  • Interview, hire and manage a high-performing team
  • Communicate with key sales leadership regularly (written and verbal) to update on project performance, gain feedback, build relationships, and network to identify future opportunities
  • Work with and liaise with relevant internal and external client departments to ensure smooth, timely delivery of project developments/enhancements that exceeds clients’ expectations.
  • Design business plans, KPI’s, employee development plans, monthly reports and various Ashfield and client requests as required
  • Provide field coaching and performance management for the sales team.
  • Ensure that sales activities are in compliance with all regulations.
  • Attend client meetings, operational meetings, conferences and other various commitments when needed
  • Administrative management of the sales team.

What do you need for this position?

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Ability to influence team member activities
  • Generally, 10+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience
  • 3-5 years of successful first-line leader experience is required with proven ability to develop and motivate others, lead through change, and deliver on set objectives.
  • 2+ years of Women’s Health care experience is preferred
  • Product launch and startup experience preferred
  • Ability to recruit, retain, and develop a high-quality team
  • A deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries
  • Lead a team and reinforce strong account management skills – i.e., the ability to work an account to include health systems/urgent care centers/pharmacies to gain access and support pull through
  • Must consistently demonstrate sound judgment and strategic decision-making abilities
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills are also required and the ability to analyze and draw appropriate conclusions using sales and call reporting data
  • Professional, proactive demeanor
  • Ability to interpret and utilize business data to drive positive business results
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build business relationships
  • Results-driven with exceptional attention-to-detail and knowledge around metrics
  • Overnight travel – up to 60% may be required (depending on geographical location)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Computer/iPad proficient
