Architect Sales Support SpecialistPosition Description: The Architect Specialist will be accountable for increasing the specification rate for Access Systems Divisions commercial solutions.

This role will be focused on developing relationships with architects to understand their current and future trends/workflow, to ensure that we are aligned with the tools as a supplier to optimize that path and be a preferred vendor.

The successful candidate should have experience working with general contractors, installers, architects, and/or building product distributors/dealers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop relationships with targeted architectural firms as a coordinated effort with commercial solutions sales lead.Optimized product specifications for commercial solutions to increase specification rate, representing full product offerings specified for a job.Work with commercial team to support development of new business opportunities and relationships with custom application tools.Demonstrate big picture vision to interact directly with owners during project development, guide architects through design phase using technical capability and maximize efficiency with installers and contractors throughout execution utilizing product and application knowledge.Use technical promotion to educate architects, including AIA credited presentations and product selection guidance for projects early in the design phase.Work closely with internal estimating and engineering departments to support quote through project execution, ensuring the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.Engage with Brand team to develop and implement plan for awareness of ASD’s architectural tools.Create education tools (presentations, videos, whitepapers, etc.), to engage with architect community.Be the communication point person for incoming website traffic related to architectural support, and ensure that the issue is resolved (i.E.

they get the shop drawing, or they get contact), as well as trends are analyzed for that incoming information.Ensure product documentation is optimized for architectural consumption (i.E.

types of files, ease of access to most current product information).Understand trends for architectural community to ensure we are putting those items in our pipeline (i.E.

preference to a certain way to do energy analysis or optimizing specification workflow).Available to travel frequently and represent the company in a professional manner.Skills/Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or similar discipline required.7+ years of writing and modification specifications related to building components; should include knowledge of commercial building processSpecific experience in building products and/or architectural cladding industry an assetInside and/or outside sales experience with a proven track record of problem-solving and decision making preferredComputer literate in MS Office products, as well as architectural programs (i.E.

Revit, AutoCad, AutoDesk, etc.)Experience with CRM managementAn ability to be a team player, while also having a strong work ethic and ability to work remotelyExcellent time management, oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are a mustProfessional appearance with a can-do attitudeExcellent presentation and communication skills, both to individuals and groupsPhysical/Work Environment Requirements: Home officeClean driving record and availability to travel within the assigned territoryJob Type: Full-timeSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location:Multiple locationsWork Remotely:Yes
