Our organization is committed to our employees, and it is no surprise that our long-standing success is built on the teamwork of our workers.We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Site Safety Coordinator position at an industrial construction project site in northern Georgia.

At this time, the project is expected to last for approximately 2 years.

It is likely we will request this individual move to another job site at the conclusion of this project.

This position reports into the Safety Director.

THIS IS A FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITY.OBJECTIVE: The primary function of the position is to identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using safety standards, best management practices, and analytical techniques.

Along with a degree or equivalent in safety, this position requires great attention to detail, strong communication skills, organizational skills, and a willingness and aptitude to acquire the necessary safety competencies.Skills Requirements include:A two-year or four-year degree in health & safety, construction management or equivalent.At least 3 years of related experience is required.Must have a strong interest in learning and working as a safety professional.Must have general knowledge of OSHA CFR 1926 standards.First Aid, CPR, OSHA 30 Hour, scaffolding, fall protection, aerial lift, etc.

Certifications preferred but not required.Strong MS Excel and computer skills (extensive work with spreadsheets).A passion for working as a member of a relatively small team with the ability to place a higher value on team goals than on your personal career goals.Exemplary communication skills – oral, written, and presentation.Highly developed interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.Strong project management and time management skills.Knowledge of construction industries is a plus.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and conduct trainings on OSHA regulations and company policies.Perform job site analysis, determine employee exposure, and institute safe work procedures.Conduct daily safety inspections, document findings, and implement corrective actions.Maintain all site required documentation related to safety issues, i.E.

accident reports, inspection reports, training logs.Conduct accident investigations and facilitate the return to work program.Manage daily activities regarding injury management and worker’s compensation issues.Administrate the company’s Substance Abuse Program, including drug and alcohol testing.Write various correspondences to customers & owners on matters of importance per direction of project manager.If you are interested in this opportunity, please click on the button below and forward your resume and cover letter with salary requirements.No phone calls please.APi Construction is a division of APi Group, Inc.
