Position Description

H&F Bread Co.

is hiring an experienced and talented Accounting/HR Director to work closely with our operations, A/P and A/R, and Human Resource team.

This person will manage all day-to-day financial operations for this growing business, including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, purchasing, cash management, financial analysis, forecasting, payroll, and human resources.

They must be extremely thorough and possess the knowledge to accurately maintain, and improve upon, the accounting, financial, and human resource protocols of the business.

Candidates must demonstrate experience in planning for fast-paced business growth with a proven track-record for meeting, and exceeding, these financial growth expectations for a B2B company.

Summary of Responsibilities
Supervise the accounting, A/P, A/R, and Human Resource team
Maintain a documented system of human resource and accounting policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, internal policies, and IRS and DOL requirements
Provide timely and accurate accounting and reconciliation, including month-end and year-end reporting
Set budgets and growth projections for the company
Prepare P&Ls
Provide technical analysis of financial statements
Continually evaluate the organizational structure to ensure the company’s goals and objectives for growth are achieved
Monitor and develop procedures to improve internal controls of policies and processes
Continually work to improve customer service and support as related to A/P and A/R
Monitor and report variances from the established budget
Engage in ongoing cost analyses in all areas of the company
Oversee and administer payroll and employee benefits programs
Oversee the accurate reconciliation and maintenance of all financial accounts, including bank, merchant, credit card, and vendor accounts
Oversee all necessary reporting as related to accounting, finance, A/R, A/P, and human resources
Other duties as assigned by the General Manager to achieve the Strategic Goals of H&F.
Position Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting
A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
Strong knowledge of accounting and human resource laws and regulations
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles, including GAAP
Knowledge of human resources practices and protocols
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
Strong technical aptitude, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, , and QuickBooks
Data entry skills with a strong attention to detail, precision, and follow-through
Strong organization skills along with the ability to handle multiple priorities
Strong sense of accountability
Ensure that confidentiality is maintained for both verbal and written information
Outstanding interpersonal skills and a team player attitude
Ability to work with poise and candor in a professional environment
